🇫🇷 Day 8: Au Revoir, Provence! 🇫🇷

A Morning of Reflection at Château du Soleil

After a week that has felt like a lifetime of discovery, the morning has finally arrived to say our farewells. The early morning light fills the Villa and washes over the vineyards & olive groves one last time, offering a quiet, sacred moment of reflection.  If you have the time, grab your coffee and take a slow walk through the gardens, breathe in the crisp morning air, and let the beauty of everything you’ve experienced over the last week settle deeply into your heart.

To make the most of our last day and final Mediterranean sunrise, we have arranged an early start:

  • 5:30 AM: The Coffee and Juice Bar opens for those needing to leave early, or wanting a quiet, reflective moment to enjoy Château du Soleil one last time.

  • 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM: An abbreviated Breakfast buffet.

As the aroma of fresh espresso wafts through the Villa, the atmosphere will feel a  bit different than it did just seven days ago... We started this journey as a group of individuals, perhaps wondering what the week would hold... Today, we sit at this table not as strangers, but as a family bound by shared laughter, unforgettable moments, and the beautiful rhythm of this special place...

The Gift of Connection: The Soul of Provence

Together we will have journeyed from the sun-drenched valley floor of the Rhöne River to the soaring summit of Mont Ventoux... navigated the winding backroads on our Le Provençal Classique Road Rally, and stood in awe beneath the ancient arches of the Pont du Gard. Whether it was the elegance of our Soirée Blanche ~ celebrating in white under the Provençal stars ~ the laughter shared over our meal at Le Belvédère, or that perfect afternoon of "Art de Vivre"at Château Pesquié, we will have truly lived The Soul of Provence together…

These aren't just memories; they are the colors and flavors of Provence that we'll carry home with us...

Before the luggage is loaded, take a moment to look around at the faces of the friends beside you and truly reflect on how fortunate we all are...  In a world that moves so quickly, we were granted the rare gift of time ~ time to slow down, to appreciate the poetry of a perfect sunset, to savor incredible foods & wines, and to truly experience the world in a way few others get to do ...

The true magic of this week won't just be the breathtaking landscapes or the historic villages; it will be the fact that we get to experience them together as an intimate group...' We'll share the awe of discovering hidden corners, the joy of raising a glass at long lunches, and the warmth of genuine, heartfelt conversations... The laughter we share and the bonds we forge will weave  us into each other’s stories. We came for an adventure, but we are leaving with a collection of lifelong friends and a treasure trove of memories that time cannot fade...

Our Final Send-Off & Practicalities

  • 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: Our final check-out window.

  • Note on Departure: Guests must be packed and ready to depart the property no later than 9:30 AM.

As we load up our cars, there will undoubtedly be tight hugs, a few tears, and promises to stay in touch... As you head down that long winding driveway and look back at Château du Soleil one last time, you won't just look back on a trip, you will look back on a profound chapter of your life...  You'll carry a piece of this region, and a piece of each other, home with you... With a full heart, a renewed spirit, and a deep sense of gratitude for the incredible fortune of this journey, we hope you'll walk away from this week going, “WOW, This has been, without a doubt, one of the best vacations of my life...”

A Sincere Thank You From Our Family to Yours

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for having the adventurous spirit to join our Beautiful Villages of Provence Expedition

But this isn't goodbye. Many of you have been part of our family for decades, while others were brand new to us just this last week... Regardless of how long we've known you, we want you to know how incredibly proud and honored we are that you trusted us to lead you on this latest adventure... We consider every one of you a member of our Adventures To Tuscany Family.

Arrivederci, Deep Gratitude, and Lasting Connections

This isn't the last you’ll hear from us... We’ll be in touch via our annual newsletter to let you know what we’ve been up to and to announce future tour dates... And we truly hope you’ll keep in touch with us, and hopefully each other…  Our groups, as you've seen by now, are very small, and it affords us the ability to become friends with all our guests... So please keep in touch... We love hearing from all the folks we’ve shared these experiences with!

Safe travels, dear friends...   Arrivederci ~ until we meet again...

A lot of folks thought Kenny Loggin's song "This is it" was a love song... but it wasn't! He wrote his 1979 hit "This Is It"  not as a love song or a dance track, but as an urgent rallying cry for his ailing father... At the time, Loggins's father was in the hospital facing a risky cardiovascular surgery and had effectively given up, telling his son; "This is it" - he didn't want the surgery & he was ready to die...     Frustrated and desperate, Loggins wrote the song as an emotional, tough-love plea demanding his father fight for his life...  a sentiment perfectly captured in the lyric, "Make up your mind."   His father was emotional over the song, and the push worked: his father found the resolve to undergo the procedure and survived for several more years... take a listen to the lyrics with a fresh perspective...
